I remember when I was a kid being called a couple of names. I had an accent because Spanish was my first language. I came home to my parents one day and I was like “Mom what am I? Everyone is asking me what I am.” I remember. I was like five or six years old. They said “Well, Christine, you’re Cuban, and you’re brown.
